Linc has two very important things on his mind - professional football and his motorcycle club. What he does not have on his mind is the woman who drives him crazy and makes him want to do stupid things, like throw caution to the wind.

Nope, not Linc. At least, that's the lie he tells everyone. In reality, every time Conleigh's name is mentioned, he squirms.

She's everything he wants, wrapped up in a cute little package that is stamped "hands freakin' off". She's four years younger than him, in school to be a doctor, and thinks football is stupid.

Even more, Linc and Conleigh get along like oil and water. There's not a single second that they're in each other's presence that they're not at each other's throats.

But all it takes is hearing that she's in trouble for Linc to drop every single thing - football and MC duties alike - and head to her side. A side that he'll remain at until they either kill each other or finally give into the heat between them.

Either way you look at it, he's well and truly screwed.

Contains mature themes.

"Gosh alright I feel like this is the one book we all have been waiting on for a long, long, long time. Though in all actuallity it probably hasn't been that long. But we finally get Linc and Conleigh's story. They are no strangers to us if your a fan of Mrs. Vales book. Of course we meet Linc way back in his dad Jesse's story The Beard Made Me Do It. And we meet Conleigh back in Steel and her mom's story Law & Beard. That's a reminder for those of you that can't remember where you've meet these two before. Or if you just haven't read those books.

I think I was most excited about Linc. I couldn't wait till we could see him all grown up and what he was doing. And boy has he grown up, now he's a professional football player and a member of the Bear Bottom's MC. I loved Linc in this book, he's very different from his father. But at the same time he's sweet, kind, caring, protective.

Oh Conleigh, I really wanted to like you in this book. I really did and I really tried. I mean I really liked her in her mom and Steel's book. But in this book I just found her to be a tad bit annoying and nieve about things.

I did enjoy this book. But I will say that there were a few things that bugged me in it to. First I found Conleigh to be as mentioned above a bit annoying and nieve. Second there was some drama brewing in this book that seemed to be there one moment and the next it was just dropped, like Mrs. Vale forgot about it. Now as I had finished this book I was trying to think back through all the other books and seeing if the drama was resolved in another book and don't remember it being resolved. Also I really felt like Mrs. Vale once again drifted from the family and friends connections in this book.

I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5 and can't wait for Wade's book!!!"

  • It was pretty good story. But then sh¡t hit the fan and I really disliked how Conleigh reacted to it. I was ready to strangle her. And what frustrated me more, that she practically ended up the victim in this. How the heck this happaned? And why Linc wasn't even a bit hurt by her reaction? I just wanted to hug him tight. This guy, deserved better.

  • The author has been doing these second generation storylines where the children of her characters are now grown up and getting their own stories. I am all for that but it can be risky. Sometimes the character is so defined as a child that it's hard to imagine them doing adult things. Luckily, that hasn't been an issue with these books. Talkin' Trash is the latest story to involve second generation characters and on the plus side, I actually remember them from their original story. Probably because Linc and Conleigh were older when we met them originally. I admit that I didn't remember exactly who Linc is when he was just a supporting character in Rome's book by Lani Lynn Vale did a good job of connecting the dots so that it was clear in this book. It's a story of years of wanting to be together and finally being able to. However, I don't feel like it was a complete story. Yes, you have the occasion that finally brings them together and of course the event that threatens to tear them apart. I felt the reason for their split was weak and that Conleigh wouldn't have responded the way she did. My main concern with the book is that an element of danger was introduced but then not followed through. I assume it will be addressed in a future book but I think it should have been tied up a bit more neatly in this one. All in all, I'd give Talkin' Trash 3 1/2 stars.
  • Cute couple, decent amount of angst, groundwork laid for future books... I enjoyed it.

Linc & Conleigh... I liked these two together. They were good friends & great lovers; butting heads, burning up the sheets & causing a ruckus wherever the went. They just felt natural together (nothing felt forced), even with Linc having the career that he did.

My biggest beef with the story is the misconstrued photo thing. I knew it was coming (because it ALWAYS happens in books with celebrity Heroes/heroines) but that didn't help to lessen the blow. I was fuming. Mad that Linc didn't speak up, mad that people (readers & fictional characters alike) were upset with Conleigh & totally mad that another woman had her hands all over Linc when he had been "Property of ONLY Conleigh" for the past eight years. She claimed to have only touched his chest & get him his hotel room but who in their right mind would trust that witch?! #Idjits #RunTheSTDTestsJustInCase

More about that witch who violated Linc... So flipping irritated that she was in this book. I've hated her from the first time she was mentioned in the Lani-verse & have absolutely NO desire to hear about her again. If she does get involved with a certain member of the Bear Bottom MC & they end up getting a book together in some series, I won't be reading it.

    P.S. Linc & Conleigh's epilogue was adorbs! )

Looking forward to more book in this series but if I'm gonna be honest, I'm totally skipping Wade's book because Hoax & Pru are loads more intriguing! I can't wait to see Sam Mackenzie's daughters get their HEAs!!
